Stagepad
Set lists for sheet music PDFs
Your charts, in order, full screen. Build a set list, turn pages with a pedal, and keep
separate annotation layers for every instrument you play.
Coming soon to the App Store
Stagepad is a PDF reader built for the music stand. Put your charts in the order you play
them, turn pages without looking, and keep your own markings on layers you can switch on
and off. It is designed for iPad and also runs on iPhone.
Annotation layers
- One chord chart can carry a layer of bass cues, a layer of keys voicings, and a layer of horn kicks.
- Mark up a chart with pen, highlighter or typed notes, on as many layers as you need.
- Tap a layer to show or hide it while reading. Each set list remembers its own layer choices.
- Apple Pencil draws, and once the app has seen a Pencil your resting palm leaves no marks.
Set lists that play straight through
- Build a set from the charts in your library and drag songs into order.
- The whole set becomes one continuous run of pages, so the last page of one tune turns straight into the next.
- Start anywhere in the set by tapping a song.
Built for the stand
- Full screen with nothing on top of the music, and the screen never sleeps mid-song.
- One page upright, two pages side by side in landscape.
- Turn pages by swiping, by tapping the left or right edge, or with a Bluetooth page-turn pedal.
- Pages are prepared ahead so a turn lands instantly.
Your files, on your device
- Add PDFs from Files, iCloud Drive or any cloud storage the iOS file picker reaches.
- Charts are copied into the app, so they open at a venue with no signal.
- No account, no subscription and no Stagepad server. Nothing you add or write is sent anywhere.
Share a set
- Export a set list as a single file holding the charts, the layers and the annotations.
- Send it to a bandmate by AirDrop, Mail or Files. On import, charts already in their library are not duplicated.
Stagepad requires iPadOS or iOS 17 or later. Check back for the App Store link, or read the
